About Us

 

Myrrh Tree was established by a network of professionals who took the scenic route to find their success. We are educators, engineers, entrepreneurs, and consultants working internationally and across a wide range of specialisms. However, we are share these similar traits and experiences:

• First generation of our families to complete higher education;
• Stumbled into our professions through luck and hard work - we were all totally failed by a lack of career guidance and mentoring;
• Some of us came from families with a bit of money but most of us came from working class families - nevertheless, we were all incredible poor when measuring our social capital.
• The more we've worked, the higher we've climbed, the more evident it has become that social capital is the single most important factor facilitating success and opportunity.
• We all wanted desperately to give back to our communities and vowed that the talented young people in successive generations should at least be made aware of what it takes to win!

We plan to do so through a mixture of mentoring, career guidance, and providing the right courses for people to focus on that will catapult them into a successful career. We'll show them the tools they need to win! It's really that simple (when you know how!)

So, in short, we're social capital champions advocated for independence, self-resilience and the know-how to succeed in a network of hard-working, like-minded and talented people!
