Who the course is for:
The course is for educators. This course is for you if you need to become a qualified Assessor in order to assess
NVQ and/or VRQ qualifications.
Entry requirements
In order begin working towards becoming an assessor you must:
• Have substantial industrial experience that is current and appropriate
How is the course assessed:
The course will be assessed through a combination of practical
observations, written work, which will be supported by self study and
research, and submission of a portfolio of evidence.
As some of the evidence for your Assessor qualification will be gathered remotely, you will ideally have the following technology available to you:
a) A pc/ laptop
b) Access to the internet, Skype and a webcam
c) Access to a flip/cam/video/smart phone or camera for evidence
gathering

On successful achievement of the qualification you will meet the quality assurance criteria necessary to assess NVQ, SVQ and VRQ qualifications.
With experience you will be able to progress to undertaking a qualification to enable you to carry out the role of Internal Quality Assurer.
